We were genuinely honored when the American Heart Association (AHA) approach us to make this video (which turned out to be the first of several). For more than 100 years, the AHA has been fighting heart disease and stroke and are continually striving to save and improve lives. The AHA is more than an organization; it’s a household name. Their distinguished history, instantly recognizable torch-in-heart logo, and iconic red-and-white color palette are key elements of a legacy brand with far-reaching public recognition.
As strong as the AHA brand is across a wide range of their communications, our research revealed that it was inconsistently expressed in their animated videos prior to our engagement. So, we made it our mission to define a distinctive and consistent AHA brand expression specifically for animation; something that would work well for this initial piece but which could also be applied to any number of future videos. (More about that in a moment.)

The American Heart Association has an extensive global reach, with programs and partners all over the world. Accordingly, the AHA wanted us to create the work with a global audience in mind; in particular, the many health organizations they work with in the Middle East. We achieved a global look and feel by populating the videos with a diversity of people dressed in clothing that ran the gamut from to more western-style garments to more traditional Middle Eastern apparel. In addition, we created intricate kaleidoscopic motion graphic transitions based on traditionally Middle Eastern textile patterns.
We always say that the best measure of ROI is when our clients come back to us for more work. The High-Impact Sales Video proved to be just the beginning our relationship with the American Heart Association. Based its success and popularity, the AHA asked us to create three additional videos highlighting their best practice guidelines and certification programs for hospitals treating stroke and heart patients. These additional videos gave us the opportunity to show how our animation-specific application of the AHA’s brand was truly extensible, with every video presenting a distinct, highly recognizable look and feel that was all AHA.
